You must be a Keepers of the Flame member to purchase a ticket and attend Resonance 4.0. Membership is free. The purpose of membership is to ensure our community is familiar with and actively practicing the 10 principles this Association values and strives to achieve:

Radical Inclusion

Anyone who desires to pursue this Association's values and purposes is welcome to participate. A person does not have to know a member of this Association or be from the Midwestern United States in order to join this Association. We do not discriminate on the basis of gender, sexual preference, race, or religion.

Leave No Trace

We want to leave the environment, where we gather, in the same or better condition than when we arrived.

Radical Self-expression

We believe in the freedom of each individual to express him or herself as that person sees fit. Self-expression is the essence of art. Self-expression is a gift to the community and is a part of our gift culture. The giver should keep this social context in mind and respect the rights and liberties of the recipients.

Personal Responsibility and Self Sufficiency

Personal freedom and happiness starts with the individual. We are committed to a Do-It-Yourself mind-set. The individual is primarily responsible for creating and maintaining his or her own reality.

Participation

Individual and communal happiness are achieved through personal participation. Our community is only as great and enjoyable as each person makes it. Participation is the Do-It-Yourself mind-set applied to the social realm. Everyone is welcome to work and play.

Communal Effort

We constantly work to improve and enrich our interaction with each other. We build and maintain an environment of creative cooperation and collaboration.

Gift Culture

We reject any form of commerce during our events. We focus instead on gift giving, which does not require a gift in return.

Decommodification

We are participants rather than consumers. Thus, we bar commercial sponsorships, transactions, and advertising from our social gatherings.

Civic Responsibility

While we value individual freedom, we realize that it exists within the context of society. Each member is responsible for the impact of his or her actions on the Association and society in general. We strive to avoid harming each other and to operate our events in accordance with local, state and federal laws.

Immediacy

We seek immediate experience of ourselves, each other, society, and the cosmos. We attempt to remove barriers to this experience. The pursuit of immediate experience underlies all of our other values and objectives.

  • Wristbands will be issued at the Front Gate to identify people of drinking age and those underage. Please wear the wristband throughout the event. If your wristband breaks, please come to the Front Gate with your ID to get another one.

  • Do not destroy or burn anyone's art unless the artist gives you permission.

  • No vending.

  • Commercial use of images from the event prohibited without written consent from the association.

  • Please ask before you photograph or videotape someone, as they may not want to be forever enshrined in cyberspace wearing that pink tutu.

  • Please be familiar with the boundaries and do not trespass on neighboring properties.

Resonance is a community event, created entirely through the volunteer labor of many amazing people. An event of this size can't function without YOU making it happen.

Everyone shares the play, the work, and the cost of creating Resonance. This means that EVERYONE buys a ticket, including volunteers and event coordinators. Volunteering will not get you into Resonance for free but it does ensure that this beautiful experience continues to be here for you to enjoy.

Do you enjoy helping people, solving problems and making new friends? Would you like to greet people with a big hug? Do you hate MOOP (Matter Out Of Place)? Help turn work into play by volunteering!

Front Gate Greeters

Front Gate Greeters create the first experience at Resonance. Greeting is a wonderful way to plug-in if you are new to the community and a good way meet tons of new friends! You will be greeting & registering new arrivals and checking ID's. There's no cash box to worry about. Greeters will receive training and a short list of procedures from a Gate Keeper before Resonance and upon arrival. A radio will be located at the Gate to stay in touch with the Gate Keeper.

Resonance Planet Patrol (RPP/Leave No Trace)

This is for everyone and anyone who wants to be a part of something special. The RPP. We are the elite, the proud, and the many. We have two duties to fill this year; Resonance Planet Patrol HeadQuarters RPP HQ) and Special Forces (RPP SF).

This year we will have our own Earth Guardian station to collect recyclables and watch over the lost and found lock box. These elite volunteers will have the pleasure of wielding the RPP sledge hammer of doom to smash cans and bottles, to hand out personally decorated butt cans, to educate about our precious earth and to keep track of the lost and found board. Sign up now for RPP HQ and go down in history as one who did their part.

We will also have RPP Special Forces. We will be the last defense in the ongoing battle against the evil MOOP. This rare breed of burner is willing to stay late and don the gloves and trash bags of true warriors. We need YOU! Sign up and help sweep the land clear of every last trace that was Resonance. We will meet at RPP HQ around noon Sunday after the burn and distribute bags and gloves. Anyone is welcome to be a RPP SF, but only the most dedicated show their true colors.
For more information or to volunteer for this position please contact Ren or join the RPP Yahoo Group.
